My consultations offer a myriad of ideas to address your questions and solve problems while inspiring you to take the next steps. There is no obligation to go beyond a consultation. My skill is to listen and ask questions to ensure that my suggestions are tailored to your needs. I am experienced and knowledgeable about sustainable design, native ecosystems, and am an approved designer for the Backyard Habitat Certification Program co-sponsored by Columbia Land Trust and Portland Audubon Society.
Design
My design work is unique, creative, practical and inspired.
Concept Plan - The first step is a concept plan, which I develop in tandem with you. I offer choices to ascertain your needs and tastes. The concept we develop is guided by you. Some clients find that this is all they need to take the next steps on their garden. The plan can include plant suggestions, but will not include construction drawings.
Final Design Plan - A final design plan will provide the detailed information to prepare construction plans, including surface materials and a suggested plant palette.
Full-service construction design - This includes all the plans, details and descriptive information to construct your project, from grading and drainage to irrigation, surface materials and plants. It could include assistance with contracting and construction oversight.
